Yes, we are all alive! We have been really busy with the boys starting school, more work for both Sean and I, and a family vacation to California last week. I am now ready for my own vacation without my kids! P.S. The reason we are all dressed up is because we attended the Disney Halloween trick or treat party while down there. I will have to take a photo of the candy, you would not believe how much we retrieved!

What have we been up to lately.....

So what have we been up to lately, well here goes.....
1.) Reece almost swallowed a battery yesterday- Got really lucky!
2.) Waking up at 4 AM to see a flashlight roaming around my house- Once again it was Reece! Thank Heavens!
3.) Drove with my parents to Calif to help Cha & Dave get packed up and ready for their move to UT.
4.) Trying to get my downstairs bedrooms cleaned and organized and the bathroom all finished before Sunday morning comes- Chelsey, Dave and Noah are moving in with us for a little while- SO EXCITED!!!
5.) Working my guts out- Cannot see at the end of each day, from staring at my computer for so long!
6.) Still---Potty training Reece and cleaning up more messes than you can imagine because he thinks he is a BIG boy and can wipe his "Dum" by himself.- That is how he says Bum.
7.) Getting Preston ready to start Kindergarten & Reece Preschool, Kindof exciting!
8.) Trying to keep my Tomatoe plants alive, any good suggestions from gardners out there?
9.) Making lots of Apricot Jam and Fruit Leather. This is the kind of leather my Grandma Hall and I used to make together when i was little. I love it, but it sure does give you the runs! Sorry!
10.) Family Reunion- That was pretty fun, Quilting, Making curtains, Scraping and repainting my front door and surrounding door trim, trying not to scream at my kids all day for beating each other up, Helping Reece with his Speech- which by the way is getting much better, Drinking way too much Dr. Pepper- which i need to stop so i dont get Kidney Stones again & Just waiting for my new little "Niece" to be born this winter- OK,OK I am just getting my hopes up and hoping for a little niece. We dont know what Chelsey is having yet! Dang It!

Surgery!

Well, Reece is going in for surgery next week and of course i am a little worried. It's always scary when your little one goes under. He has to have his tonsils and Adenoids removed. We had him tested for his ears, nose and throat and the Dr/ said his Tonsils were huge with no infection, so he decided to do an oxygen level test during the night and they said his oxygen levels were too low that this could cause sleep apnea. He does snore pretty loud! Anyhow, this may also be the cause of him not being able to talk. We will see what happens afterward. Wish us luck!

Swine Flu! "YIKES"!!!

So i decided to take Reece to the doctors yesterday thinking he had an ear infection and unfortunately the doctor confirmed and diagnosed him with the Swine Flu and a bad ear infection. As you can see, he layed on the doctors table, didn't make a peep and fell asleep while the doctor examined and tested him. Preston eventually fell asleep on my lap a short time later. I have never been to the doctors and had a quiet conversation with him before, usually my kids are bouncing off of the walls screaming their guts out and i cannot wait to get out of there. Reece had been vacinated with the normal flu shot and the nasal mist over a month ago and he still got it. The doctor said the case shouldnt be as bad due to him being vacinated. He has him on an antibiotic and another medication to help with the flu. His main concern was upper respitory noises and said alot of children get neumonia with this swine flu, so i need to keep a close eye on that. In the meantime we have had alot of sickness going around. I am wondering if Preston came down with this the week before because he was down with flu like symptons. We had Sean in the ER the day before P got sick, with Kidney Stones. He was down until he "delivered his baby" three days later. He looked like he was going to die! I am knocking on wood hoping that i stay healthy due to being around them and not getting the sleep i need and on top of all that i am so swamped with work, i guess that is a good thing!

I made this baby bag, kimono P.J's and an airplane onsie for a friends baby shower last week. They were so fun to put together. I love the way the diaper bag turned out and i love the periwinkle and aqua colors together. I think i will have to make myself one just for the heck of it!

Reece and I helped with the kids at Preston's Preschool field trip this week. We even got to go for a ride in one of the large fire trucks, the boys had a blast! Here are a few photos of the kids. My little baby is now 5 years old, but thinks he is 25! Here are some photos from when Sean and I took the kids to Chuckee Cheese's to celebrate and the night of his Birthday party! We had such a fun time. The cake and cupcakes was made by a friend Tatum who did an amazing job and they tasted wonderful! I highly reccomend using her if you are need of a cake/ cupcakes!

Last night as Preston was taking off his pajama bottoms he lost his balance and took a fall right into the corner of the ottoman. This is the bump that he received after hitting his head! Poor kid screamed and kicked like you cannot imagine. We took him to the ER because our dr's office is closed on Sunday and Preston had been acting a little funny afterwards. He received a small concusion but the Cat scan look pretty good! He was up and at it this morning and hasn't stopped since!

Heading to St. George with Sean and the boys to look at some dirt (took approx 10 minutes) and heading back home! Now wasn't that fun? Sean had a work bid that had to be in the next morning.

Pergola Before & After

Well, We finally finished painting the Pergola. Sean and I started working on it last Saturday and I finished it this afternoon. We had to wait three months before doing this because all of the sap needed to come out. I went over all of the wood with a razor blade to remove the sap and Sean followed behind me with the sander to get everything nice and smooth. We then broke out the paint and painted our guts out. I hope I do not have to do it again for a long, long time!

As you can see I didn't have a little girl to try it on for me so i had my nephew Noah do it, I love the pose he is making. He likes to dress up! I also made this fun apron for my cousin's wedding gift. I thought it turned out really cute and wanted to keep it for myslef!

So..... Does anyone know what Reece has on his hands? One Guess, Look at the bottom shelf next to him! Yep!!! He thinks he is putting on some "lotion" with (You guessed it) Summer's Eve wash! Thank heavens I happened to have some wipes in my purse to clean him up. That stuff was greasy and didn't want to come off. All i needed at the Walgreens was some Pedialite for preston because he has been feeling sick with the flu for the past two days and it happened to be in the same isle as the feminine products! it literally only took him two seconds to see that and squirt it on his hands. One Question: Why don't they put little covers under the lid like they do with everything else?

I purchased a new Martha Stewart "Cupcake" cookbook this last week and decided to try some out for a family reunion i had coming up last Saturday. They turned out to be so yummy and everybody snarfed them down! They did take a while to make (about 3 hours) but they were worth every bite! As i was driving to Highland today Preston and Reece were in the back munching on gummy frogs, while Preston was not looking Reece took a chance at stealing the bag away from him. He ended up taking it away! Preston became very mad yelling at Reece: "Reece! I wish you only had one arm!" I looked back at him telling him that was not very nice, why he would say something like that. His response was: "If he had one arm he wouldn't be able to take that bag away from me!"

4th of July Celebration!

I was chosen to be the lucky one to go and see the Jonas Brothers at the Stadium of Fire. When i asked Kes who she was going with she said me! What? Me? Yep, I want you to go with me. I am glad i went. We had such a good time. We sat on the field and when the Jonas brothers came out we ran right up to the front of the stage. Nothing like being packed like a bunch of sardines in between sweating, "Screaming" teenagers! It was fun to see Keslee having a great time. Thanks for inviting me Kes, it was fun! Oh yes, I also forgot to mention that Keslee and I did get to meet the Jonas Brothers and have our photo taken with them. For some reason they seemed short to me, maybe it was because i had tall shoes on(?) They introduced themselves to us and shook our hands, they were very polite and nice. Keslee was very shy and couldn't say anything because she was so nervous!

Today Reece turns two years old. It seems just like yesterday that he was a new baby. We are so thankful to have him as a part of our family. He has such a funny personallity even though he cannot talk (which we are working on.) He enjoys doing everything that his older brother does and does not hesitate to try new things. Most of the time we are watching every move the kid makes because he has no fear in his little body and thinks he is a big boy! I cannot wait to have more Birthdays with him and watch him grow!Happy Birthday Roo- We love you!

A day in my life.......

So if you are ever wondering what a day is like at my home, here is an example of how today was:
6:15 AM- Woke up went down to work with "Wet hair"
8:30 AM- Answered the door to a neighbor boy needing eggs to make a cake, which
woke up Reece. Reece then went in and started poking Preston in the face to
wake up.
9:00 AM- Made the kids breakfast, changed Reece's diaper
9:15 AM- Changed Reece's diaper again due to him taking his off
9:20 AM- Yes, changed it again, cause he took it off again...
9:30 AM- Yes, and yes, changed it again, cause he took it off again...
9:45 AM- Preston yelling at me that Reece took off his diaper yet "AGAIN"
Ran upstairs to put the diaper and his clothes back on and as i got
to the top of the stairs Reece decided he didn't like my couches "Big
Suprise" and pee'd and pooped on them! Yes, you heard me right! I not only
needed my carpets cleaned, but now the couch!
9:50 AM- Cleaned the couches the best i could, thank heavens for microfibre and
scotchguard!
10:00 AM- Attempted to dry my hair, for the second day in a row!
10:15 AM to 12:00 PM- Went downstairs to do more work, listened to my kids scream
and fight...
12:00 PM- Made the kids lunch (Which they cried and screamed because it wasn't what
they wanted. "Funny thing is that i asked them and they wouldn't decide on
anything. "I don't have all day to sit here and wait for you to decide, I
have a million other things to do!"
12:15 PM- Attempted to dry another section of my hair...
12:30 PM- Ran back down to do more work (story of my life)
12:45 PM- Preston yelling "Mom"- Reece found a pen and is coloring all over your
couch!- At this point I don't really care! What else can this terror do
to them?
1:00 PM- Laid Reece down for a nap
1:05 PM- Went back down "Still with wet hair" and worked some more until about 4:30
4:30 PM when Reece woke up.
4:35 PM- Finished drying my hair "YEAH"
5:00 PM- Made a Birthday card for my niece (and needed to do about three more for
Birthday's coming up next week.
5:30 PM- Attempted to clean a little bit of my house while the boys were out in the
backyard playing. Reece then comes in crying his eyes out (Literally)
because he attempted to throw dirt at Preston and instead threw it right
back in his face "EYES"- Ouch!
6:30 PM- Went out and watered my flowers and discovered that Reece had thrown dirt
all over Preston'd head and back. Then went into the house where i gave
them both a shower.
6:45 PM- As i am cleaning off Preston Reece went into the boys bathroom and took
the shampoo and squoze it onto the floor, toilet and tub. (This makes for
a really messy and slippery floor)- This is the second time in the past week
that he has done this. For some reason the kid has ESP and knows where i
like to hide things! It is also very hard to clean up!
7:00 PM- Sean called and needed clean work clothes because he knows how dirty he
will be getting due to a piece of equipment breaking and him having to
repair it so it can be back on the job first thing in the morning! So off
to the shop we went.
7:45 PM- Started heading to Keslee's softball game and on the way there this is how a
conversation went between Preston and I:
Me: (While driving down a little one way road) Move little chicken or I will
run you over and eat you for dinner!
Preston: What? Is there a chicken on the road mom?
Me: Yes!
Preston: Mom? If you run that little chicken over you can cook him at home
at home and we can eat him for dinner?
Me: Yes, we sure can!
Preston: Well, OK, but i think he will taste like chicken!
Me: Laughing- He has the funniest look on his face. Doesn't he know what
chicken is?
7:50 PM- As we are still driving we are going past a large field full of cows and i
can hear Preston talking to himself saying: Oh how cute, those baby cows
are so tiny! Look, that girl cow and kid cow (which means a boy)are
touching faces, they are kissing and loving each other. Oh, that's so
cute! Oh wait, that is sick and gross. I think they are making me sick! Oh Man, that makes me really sick!
8:05 PM- Finally made it to Keslee's game after stopping to get food for the kids
9:30 PM- Left Keslee's game that they won!!! And decided to head to Wally World (Wal-
Mart) to get a few groceries. Why do i do this to myself? Both my kids were
out of control and it was too late to be there!
10:35 PM- Finally got home from shopping and got the kids ready for bed. Reece
screamed for about 30 minutes because he wanted milk in his sippy cup
instead of water. I just let him scream!
10:45 PM- Back down to work to finish up a few things before doing this Looonnnng
post. Now i am heading off to bed, now that it is literally 12:51 AM-
I hope tomorrow is a better day! P.S. Do any of you think that Reece
may be ready to start potty training due to him taking off all of his
clothes and diaper every day all day, or do you just think he likes to
be naked?

Knives, Neosporin & Orange Soda.....

So this week has been a crazy one with Reece. For some reason he obviously has issues with our red couches. On Tuesday I had the carpet cleaners come and clean the whole upstairs (It took them a little over three hours). They look nice and new until now! On Wednesday Reece found a steak knife in the bottom of the kitchen sink (He is obviously Spiderman's son) because he climbed the cabinets with his hands and feet to get up there. Anyways, he found this knife under a large bowl in the sink went over to my couch dumped a large cup of water on it and started to stabb the cushins! Now I am sure you are all thinking how in the He!! did i not kill this kid. Well, He ran and hid from me and it took me a while to find him. He had climbed up into his crib and zipped the tent shut. For all of you out there that are unfamilliar with the crib tent it is the best investment I have ever purchased! Reece thought i was not going to get to him with this zipped up. Yes, he did get a spankin but that's it, and he gave me the look of death as if i had done something wrong! Anyways, Needless to say I am waiting for a phone call back from RC Willey to see what the damage is going to cost me. Then on Thursday Reece fell outside and scratched his knee... OK, Preston tried to teach Reece how to ride his big boy bike without the training wheels! Anyhow, Preston was trying to be Mr. Doctor and put neosporin and bandaids on it. Reece took the neosporin and squeezed it out onto the couch! Can i even tell you that Neosporin is like vasaline (doesn't come out). Then today as i ran errands, came home and ran downstairs the boys were eating lunch at the counter and as i was downstairs (literally) 2 minutes. Reece jumped off the counter took his orange soda drink and dumped it onto the counh and on the new clean carpet! He then ran into his room and once again zipped the tent shut! Have you ever tried to get orange soda out of things? It doesn't come out! When i told my dad what had happened he laughed his guts out and said "I really think that Reece hates that couch!" What do you think? I am not sure what to do with this kid, he is nothing but trouble! HELP ME!!!

I wanted to wish my awesome and wonderful little sister Chelsey a Happy 27th Birthday. As we were driving home from my parents house last Sunday i was trying to think of how old she would be this week, I finally realized that she was getting closer to 30! WOW! For some reason i think she is still in her early 20's but she's not. She has become a wonderful grown woman, sister, friend and most importantly a mother! Thanks for being such a great sister and i hope you have a wonderful Birthday and Dave spoils you rotten! Working in the Garden

Earlier this week the boys and I went over to help plant the garden at my grandparents house whom have passed away. It was fun! The boys had a great time being able to dig in the dirt (DIRK) as Preston calls it. We cannot wait to see how they all grow! Thanks mom, I had fun!

New Pergola

We finally decided to put a pergola in our backyard. We needed some shade due to the back of the house facing South and plus the back of the house it pretty ugly. We had a few bids done last summer and most of them were really high. I had a neighbor who does big timber beams give me a bid and it was much lower. Now i just need to furnish it with some fun lounge chairs and a table to eat at. I hope we will be able to use this alot this summer. I have also ordered some large flower planters to sit underneath. I am looking into planting some wisteria at the base of the beans to grow up and along it. I need to talk to a plant person to see if this would be a good idea. My dad had mentioned that the wisteria may grow up and under my roof shingles. If so that may not be a good idea. For those readers out there please give me some advice on outdoor furniture and plants, etc.

Happy Birthday Mom! Today's is my mom's 51st birthday. She was an April Fool's baby. I fell really bad that i was not able to take her to lunch or have any fun due to Preston having the flu and me working my guts out! I hope she had a fun one anyway. Love you mom! Love, Car

A crazy few weeks......

We have have had a crazy few weeks lately. Here are some updates on what we have been doing: It all started out with Preston waking up one morning and coming to me stating he had thrown up "On the Carpet"- Oh great! Sure enough (it wasn't too bad), then came on the (In Preston's words D'rea), Thankfully this only lasted 24 hours. The next day had gone pretty well until i was leaving my parents house when in the car Reece cried almost the whole way home. I had to stop at the store to purchase one item and as i walked in put Reece in the shopping cart he instantly threw up. And i'm not talking a little like Preston but he suddenly became the Exorcist! (Is that how you spell it?) Holy Crap! I had a large bag of diaper wipes and used the whole thing to clean up the mess. I then stripped him down to nothing and off to the car we went and then home. For the next 24 hours he had the D'rea. I was affraid to go anyplace. And this is how the rest of the week went.....

This is my office. I have taken on a new full time job and thankfully they have given me the opportunity to work from home. it is not the typical 8-5 hours. I am still processing mtg. loans and have a ton of files. I have been trying to go through all of them to get familiar with each one and have been working all day and night. I think i have gotten about 5-6 hours of sleep each night for the past week. Sean has also been out of town for work which has made it even harder for me to get things done around my house. While Chelsey was here we decided to color my hair on Sunday night and as we were 3/4 the way through we ran out of color. We had to wait till the next day to finish it up. Thankfully i had no place to be but at my desk! i also had a class one night to learn how to use my serger. I found a sitter due to Sean being out of town got to the sewing shop at 5:04 and waited for someone to help me for almost 15 minutes. They sent me back to the classroom where there was nobody in sight. A salesperson then approached me and said they were not holding the class because i was 15 minutes late. Excuse me, i said. I was at your front counter at 5:04 and waited for someone to help me for 15 minutes. I was mad!!! She was being so rude to me so i decided to be rude back, i was not in the mood for her that day. She then proceeded to tell me that i needed to be there 10-15 minutes early or they would not hold the class. This is the first time i have been told this and when i originally set up the appointment a month in advance they called me 45 minutes before the class was to start and cancelled it due to the instructor being sick. They rescheduled it for a month later which was on this day that they decided to cancel because i did not show up on time! According to them. I then rescheduled it again and she warned me to be early next time, I looked at her and said Well, we will see if i show up on time ok! for future reference I will not be purchasing or attending any classes from the Cotton Shop in Provo any time soon or in the near future!

This is a picture of our screen door that "The Incredible Hulk" decided to tear through! I had the sliding glass door shut and locked along with the screen door and in a matter of one minute Reece wanted back outside, opened the door and realized that he could not get through the screen so decided to tear through it. He was as happy as a clam! Sorry for the sideways picture, i could not get it turned right side up!
We went up to Sundance to a cabin that my dad's friend owns for a day of fun. This "Large" home sits on one of the ski runs and is beautiful! The family went up early in the morning and stayed throughout the rest of the day. Thanks to my parents for taking my kids skiing, due to me having to go to a work meeting that was to last about 1-2 hours and ended up lasting 6 hours. Sean and I made it up there around 4 and stayed until they were all ready to go.

Reece had climbed up and over this black cage to get to the basketballs while playing at Jumping Jacks. I had to climb on top of this thing to get him back out! He will not stop to get what he wants!

Dentist AGAIN.......

on Monday Preston had to get another tooth pulled. I took him in for his anual checkup and cleaning (where he screamed and kicked the whole time). The dentist said that his body is rejecting another cap and he was forming an absess next to it. Here are a few photos from that day. He did much better this time due to giving him a valium before going in, it was pretty funny to watch him because he had a hard time standing up and his speak was slurred. I loved it because he was so calm, can i give him one of those everyday?

Valentines Day!

So this is how our Valentines Day went. Sean and i decided to take the boys to the Monster Truck Show in SLC due to Preston bugging us for the past month. One hour prior to leaving the house Reece slipped and fell off my bed and hit his mouth on the side board splitting his lip open in two places. We took him to the instacare where they decided not to do stiches even though he could use one or two. We then proceeded to SLC. We arrived ordered a hot dog which seriously took them 20 minutes to cook and headed to the sales table to get some ear plugs. They did not have any more small ones so we had to purchase large tire ones that ended up costing $20 each. (Yep $65.00 later and a few little trucks we were off to our seats.) Once we sat down Reece would not wear his ear plugs so we had to hold his ears the whole time. When the show started my kids did not know what to think. Reece screamed his guts out for a portion of the time and Preston just sat there with a wierd look on his face. Neither one of them got into it. Once they had intermission and the loader, fork lift and bobcat came out my kids were out of their seats with excitement. "Why didn't we just take them down to Sean's shop for them to play on his equipment?" It would have been alot cheaper. Preston then tells us he wants to leave after being there for about 30 minutes. He then started crying he wanted to go so bad. They then had a 5 minute motorcycle show which the boys loved. Then when the trucks came back out i look over and Preston is dead asleep on Sean's lap. I am pretty sure we are never taking out kids there again! We ended up leaving early and on our way out Preston woke up and wanted to know why we were leaving. DUH!!! He then asked us if we would bring him back later... NO! We then headed down South and decided to eat some dinner. We stopped at Gardner's Village Archibald's restaurant and that was a BIG, BIG mistake. Reece was so grumpy and tired from hitting his lip earlier in the day and Preston was semi ok. Reece decided to hit his drink and spill it all over Preston's legs and shoes, now if you know Preston he freaks out when he gets a tiny little drop of water on himself, so off to the bathroom Sean and Preston go to clean up. In the meantime i am trying to keep Reece from screaming and running all over the place. We got our food and i ended up taking two bites and walking Reece out due to him screaming so loud. Sean came out and took over after snarfing his food down. We them left for home where Reece fell asleep around 6:30 and slept even after bringing him in the house. I ended getting up with him at 12 am, 2 am, and then again at 4 am which we stayed up until about 7:30. I was so tired, i could hardly function. Here are some priceless photos of that day! Enjoy!!!

Valentines & Necklace

Preston and I made these Valenitine's for his pre-school class a few days ago. he is so excited to give them out.

My mom also gave me this necklace pendant she made for Valentine's day. I love the old vintage look of the pictures. On one side it has a bride and groom that says: Stories of Romance, He was mine at last, to have and to hold. And the other side says: Romantic Marriage, Happiness vs. Parents, Daddy's Girl, I risked my love. If you are in the market for fun and cute necklaces let me know my mom can make whatever you like, she can even include a picture of a loved one in it.

New Apron & Silly Sock Day!

I also made another apron this week out of some fun vintage looking cupcake, etc. fabric. I am not sure i like the straps crossing in the back, it is kindof hard to get on. Oh well, you never know if you will like something if you don't try it out!

Preston has Silly Sock Day at Pre-school tomorrow so we went around looking for some fun socks. Not much out there for boys! He did choose these pirate socks found at the gap. They had a really cute pirate shirt to go along with the socks but i could not bring myself to pay $26.00 for the dang thing. Instead i remembered that i had a blue shirt (4T) sitting in my sewing closet and i could put a pirate skull with bones on it myself. Here is the final product, i tried to match the colors up with what i had in my fabric collection.

Back to the norm!

Reece eating soap while in the bath tub. When i caught him doing this he was licking it like a popsicle over and over again, YUCK! I guess the whole "I'm going to wash your mouth out with soap" thing isn't going to work too well when he is older!

And once again i am back to my sewing habits. This is the first apron i have ever made. Pretty easy. It took me about an hour and a half from start to finish. I am going to make a few more in different styles for some friends birthdays coming up.

Gift for Twins

I had a baby shower last weekend for a friend who is expecting her second set of twins (yes- second set)! This time she is having girls. I have been so excited to start making some fun clothes for her and this is what i made. A few little sun dresses with bloomers just in time for Spring and a few fun little brown and pink dresses for any occasion.

Reece's Diagnosis (Roseola)

Well, they think they have finally figured out what Reece has (or had). Roseola- Roseola is a viral illness in young children, most commonly affecting those between the ages of 6 months and 2 years. This virus usually happens only one time and they don't get it again- kindof like chicken pox. They develop a mild upper respiratory illness (which Reece did have- bronchitis) followed by a high fever often over 103 for up to a week. During this time they appear fussy or irritable, loss of appetite and swolen lymph nodes in the neck. The high fever often ends abruptly, and about the same time a pinkish-red flat or raised rash appears over the childs whole body. The rash's spots blanch (turn white) when you touch them, and individual spots may have a lighter "halo" around them. The rash uaually spreads to the neck, face, arms and legs. The fast- rising fever that comes with roseola triggers febrile seizures in about 10-15% of young children. Signs of febrile seizures include: Unconsciousness, 2-3 minutes of jerking or twitching in the arms, legs or face, loss of control of the bladder or bowels. Roseola is contagious and spreads through tiny drops of fluid from the nose and throat of infected people. These drops are expelled when the infected person talks, laughs, sneezes, or coughs. Then if other people breathe the drops in or touch them and then touch their own noses or mouths, they can become infected as well. The viruses that cuase roseola do not appear to be spread by kids while they are exhibiting symptoms of the illness. Instead, someone who has not yet developed symptoms often spreads the infection. There is nothing to prevent roseola and it usually affects children but rarely adults. The fever usually lasts from 3-7 days followed by a rash lasting from hours to a few days. To make a diagnosis, your doctor first will take a history and do a thorough physical exam. A diagnosis of roseola is often uncertain until the fever drops and the rash appears, so the doctor may order tests to make sure that the fever is not cuased by another type of infection. Antibiotics cannot treat roseola because a virus, not a bacterium, causes it. Reece had all of these symptoms except for the seizures- he was stiffening up his body in a twitch like manner, we thought something was hurting. I am glad this is over and hope it never comes back again. They did tell us to keep an eye on Preston just in case he comes down with a fever.

Update on Reece

Well, we are still not certain what Reece has come down with. Tuesday night we had him in the Dr's office with a fever of 104.5. Wednesday he seemed to be feeling a little better and Thursday morning the fever was coming back up. I called the doctor and they said to come right over. They checked him for the flu virus and that was negative. She then was very concerned about him and sent us to the hospital for blood work and a nose culture. I then proceeded home around 3 pm and received a phone call back fromher three hours later. She then asked how quick i could get back to the hospital. At that point i knew something must be wrong and she was not too calm herself. Between the three doctors they decided that Reece needed to have a urin test done, chest x-rays and a Bacterial Shot. She told me that the labs were watching his results and they were not looking good at all, but are unable to tell us what it is. They are guessing he has some kind of bacterial infection inside. The x-rays showed that he does have Bronchitis with no Pnemonia (which they said is hard to detect Bronchitis on x-rays- but it was very clear on them) and that Pnemonia usually comes along with the Bronchitis. Thankfully we were able to get him to urinate in the bag or they wanted to do a cathader. It was a really rough day and we didn't get home until around 11:30 pm after having all of this done. He did sleep through the night and seems to be feeling better. In the meantime we need to keep an eye on him, if he gets worse we need to take him back in and they would possibly do a sponal tap for Menangitis. We also have to wait to hear back on the blood work which won't be until Monday if everything looks normal. If the doctor calls me before that then they know something is wrong. Keep him in your prayers and we will keep you updated.

Big Brother Comforting Little Brother

Reece started coming down with a fever last Sunday afternoon and has had it since. We have had sleepless nights (I think i have slept 3-4 hours total within the past 48 hours). Reece has not had any other symptoms other than this fever, so i have been giving him tylenol and motrin on and off for these past three days. We decided to call the Doctors office around 9:45 PM to ask them what they thought it might be. They said to hurry over and they would stay open for us. When we arrived his fever had gotten up to 104.5 and would not go down. They think he has a virus (not sure) but to watch him. I slept with him on the living room fold out couch (which was a mistake- very uncomfortable)to keep an eye on him. As he was breathing he started panting like a dog as if it was hard for him to breathe. It scard me because his fever was almost 105. I said a little prayer to make his fever go away and hope that he gets feeling better. Within an hour the fever started breaking and i was able to get him back asleep around 5 AM. The fever is not completely gone but nowhere near as high as it was. Hopefully he gets feeling better quick. This picture of the boys was taken a few days ago when Reece would not fall asleep in my arms but Preston sat down next to him and Reece layed over his legs, as Preston rubbed his head and back he fell asleep within seconds. It was too cute! Preston is such a good brother to Reece and very loving for the most part.

Disneyland- January 09'

We decided to head out to California due to Sean needing to bid a job down there. Sean's brother took his wife and kids along and we had a great time. The weather was beautiful (between 80-85). We did Disneyland way too much (as we usually do)and Chelsey and I got to spend a day together down in LA at the fabric district. We had a blast- without the kids! Thanks to Kaitlan for watching Reece for me. She is the sitter Chelsey gets when we need one. Chelsey and I need to do a girls day away more often- or at least when i come down there! Thanks Cha for letting us come down and hang out with you guys on such a short notice. We look forward to alot more of those short notices!!! P.S. The orange tree in these photos is Chelsey's that is on her back porch. She has been waiting for these two to grow for "ALONG" time now- i think almost two years. I hope they taste as good as they look when ready!

CT Scan Bill

I just wanted to give you all an idea on how much a CT Scan would cost if you ever had to take your child into the hospital to have one done. Reece decided to put his feet on the edge of the counter and pushed off. He was strapped into his booster seat that is strapped down to the bar stool. The feet of the bar stool came out from right under him and he flew back and hit his head on the back of the stool. He had a "Ginormous" bump that stuck out about 1 inch. he went pale white and screamed his little guts out, I kept waiting for it to split open. We decided we better get it looked at so off to the hospital we went due to it being a Sunday. As we arrived he fell asleep which they do not like children to do and Sean and i could not get him to wake up. The girl that checks you in asked if we needed to see the doctor and asked what had happened. She brought us back immediately and the nurses and doctors came running in. They could't get him to wake up for about 3 minutes. We did everything, he finally opened his eyes just peeking at us wondering what the heck we were doing to him. He let them hook up the machines and was really good. The only thing he did not like was the CT Scan. They strap you down so you cannot move. "Reece not move?" Yeah right! This kid cannot sit still for two seconds. I need one of those straps at home! Anyways, everything turned out ok, but i just received the bill and the scan alone came to $4,000 dollars. I cannot imagine what the hospital is going to charge me for their services! Thank heavens for health insurance!

Apparently the guy who lives there is a well known ice sculptor and this years theme is from the Madasgar Movie. It is kindof hard to see due to my camera not working very well. Crib Tent

I know you are all probably thinking we are the meanest parents in the world. You just wait until your child figures out how to crawl out of his crib every time you put him in it. We cannot keep him in his crib for the life of us so we decided to find something that would keep him there. We found this crib tent at Babies R Us last weekend. It is supposed to fit any crib (yeah right)- except for ours so Sean rigged it to work. I think it has been the best investment we have ever made! Sad thing is, it makes Reece really really mad! I would rather have him scream for 10 minutes then fall out of his bed and break something!

I made two of these daily planner holders (one each for my visiting teachers.

I put a pen, gum, large and small sticky notes and a notebook/ journal in each one.

I made about 15 of these tin stars for friends and neighbors. It is hard to see in this picture but they have glitter on them. They look really festive in the light!

I won this cute glass jar filled with pine cones and bulbs at Bunco the other night. I was so excited. I needed something fun to add to the other decorations on my entry table.

I made this SNOW garland that is also on the entry table. It actually took quite a while to make due to all of the little glitter pieces and glueing. I am still in the process of making more gifts but am coming closer to being finished!

As soon as my dad lit a fire in the fireplace Reece ran up to it to try and blow it out! Preston and Chelsey on Thanksgiving day.

For the past few years my mom, Keslee, Chelsey and I have been doing Christmas ornament exchanges with each other at Thanksgiving time. This year i got a red and black snowflake from Cha, A beach Bum Santa from Keslee and a large blue butterfly from my mom. It is fun to see what new ornaments you get to add to your tree. I surely needed them due to Reece pulling off every glass ball that he could find or reach and throwing them on my tile floor (which they all broke) two days after the tree went up.

The week before Thanksgiving Preston had been complaining that his cheek was hurting. After the third day i tried looking in his mouth but could not find anything wrong. He insisted that i call the dentist to have it looked at. I took him in that afternoon and they said the tooth looked OK but for some reason the cap on the tooth was absessing the gums around it. It was his back molar on the top and it had to be pulled out. That was a "FUN" moment. I had to hold him down while he was numbed up and yanked out. He cried for almost an hour until he saw his grammy. (Sean's mom) This is the first time the tooth fairy has visited him and he could care less that she left him money. I think he kindof bursted the tooth fairy's bubble, she may never come visit him again. She even left some pixy dust on his pillow! Preston is doing much better now that the tooth is gone!

Carrie Underwood Concert

A friend in my bunco group called and asked if I wanted to go to the Carrie Underwood concert with her and some other friends. I decided to go and take a break away from my kids. We had such a blast and Carrie Underwood is an amazing singer, that girl can belt it out! Here are a few videos of her from the concert. I tried uploading some video of her singing Paradise City that Guns-N-Roses originally sings but it was too large. At first I thought it was an intro to another song but she sang the whole thing and pretty well too. It was kindof fun to hear her sing something different. We also had pretty good seats. We had the 15th row just from the corner of the stage. If you ever get the chance to see her in concert please do, she is quite the entertainer!

California here we come!!!!!

This is how our children entertain themselves while traveling (pull faces and eat socks!) We have been extremely crazy the past few weeks. I have been working on Christmas stuff (that i cannot show you all yet) and while i was out running errands last Friday Sean called to say get home and pack because we are going to California. WHAT? Are you kidding? Nope, he said. So on my way home i went and gathered up what i could possibly remember to pack. I called Chelsey to see if she was up for some company and she informed me that the following Tuesday she was leaving for Arizona, I then told her we would be there tonight! I think she had the same reaction i did. As soon as Sean got home which was about an hour after me we threw our stuff in the car and headed out West. We left around 2 PM and arrived there around 12 AM. That was with a few stops for the kiddos. We were up bright and early the next morning to head to Disneyland, After coming off of the Toy Story ride Sean and Dave went to get our strollers and they were gone. They could not find them anywhere. I was keeping the kids occupied in the toy store while they were trying to see where they went. After a few minutes Sean told me to take the kids and go sit outside by a water fountain. As i was going out I turned and saw our strollers sitting off to the side of the building and to my suprise there were my parents! They had taken our strollers. Nobody knew they were coming down there. My dad got a wild hair and decided to suprise us. He left the same night we did but much much later (11 PM). It was fun having all of us together. The bad part about that day was it turned out to be really HOT. We were sweating our guts out. The second day there we did the same thing (Disneyland) and it ended up being really cold. In all, we left the following Monday but it was a fun trip and I am glad we went down. Thanks Cha for letting us barge in and stay in your home. It was fun hanging out with you, Dave and Noah. My parents came home on Tuesday and brought Noah back with them. My mom will be flying him back to Chelsey next Monday. I cannot wait to go back and visit again soon! Flag Waver

Tuesday night during the presidential election I decided to get into the bath tub. When i got out this is what i found: Preston had seen the people on TV waving their flags so he went into his room got a pillow, blanket and his little American flag! He laid on the floor for about 45 minutes watching Obama win the election and joined in on the excitement. Personally it was pretty boring to me!

Sink Fun

While at my mom and dad's house last week my mom thought it would be fun to put the boys in her kitchen sink to entertain them. They loved it. Reece kept sticking his face under the tap and soaking himself. He would laugh really hard afterward. Keslee decided to get two straws out for her and Preston to blow into the water and make bubbles. They made a huge mountain of them, i just didn't get it in a photo. Thanks mom for having such a great time with the boys!

Bad Mattress

So Sean and i purchased a new mattress from RC Willey about 1 1/2 years ago. It is one of those that you cannot flip over. They guarantee that it will never sink in, etc. So we decided to fork out the $2500.00 for the thing. Why so much, we are stupid and the guy talked us into it. Problem now is that it is killing both Sean and I's back. I called RC Willey to see what kind of warranty we had and they informed me that all of the warranties are the same (10 years) The only thing they do not tell you is that it only covers sinking in. Nothing else! So that night i had Sean come into the bedroom to look at it and sure enough it is sinking in on both of our sides. There is a hump in the middle where neither of us lay. I now need to call RC Willey back to have them send an adjuster out to our home to see if they think it is bad enough. And if it isn't Sean will have a come apart (in person) to someone at RC Willey's. So when that time comes i will notify all of you just in case you want to see it happen! Hopefully they will replace it due to the cost we paid. If any of you are int he market for a mattress i suggest the cheap kind from Sam's Club. We bought preston one for $50.00 and it is the most comfortable mattress i have slept on. Sean has actually spent some nights in there just to get a good nights sleep! SAD!!!

Halloween Activities!

This is the boys on Halloween night. After trick-or-treating for almost one and half hours we decided to finally come home. Sean's parents came over to hand out treats to the other kids while we took the boys out. They had such a blast. Reece would run to the doors and try to knock and as soon as the door opened be would run in. He was so excited! They also loved to give the candy out as the kids came to our door. Next year is going to be more fun!
This is Preston during his pre-school program. His teacher literally had to drag him into the room. He would not stand near the other kids because he did not want to sing. he stood there the whole time and whined and moaned with this mad/sad look on his face!
This is after the program. Of course he is smiling because his teacher gave him a bag filled with goodies. The little boy standing next to him is his friend Carter. And the other one is Robert. Robert is very vocal and not shy in any way!

This night we went to our ward halloween Carnival. Preston did every activity there was to do. He had so much fun. This is when he was doing the donut eating contest. The little boy standing next to him dressed as Harry Potter is his best buddy Talmage that moved in next door earlier this year. I love the look on Talmage's face, his mouth is crammed full!

Poop, Markers, Etc.... WHY?

Does anybody out there go through the same things as i do? I have been asking myself this lately. Preston has been going through a phase where he has been wetting his pants. At least two times a day. I am getting tired of washing underwear everyday. He has also been pooping them every now and then too. But last night while i was watching TV (the only show i get to watch during the week) Preston got really quiet in his room. I possibly thought he was actually being quiet for once and playing a game. I then decided to go and check on him and this is what i found. Something brown smooshed into the carpet in the opening of his bedroom door with wet wadded up toilet paper sitting ontop of it. I then proceeded to the bathroom due to the light being on and found his underwear (i know this is too graphic) and a sink full of poop! I immediately started yelling for him. He was hiding and was not coming out for anything. When he was found i asked him WHY? He would not give me a reason as to why he had done this. I made him take a bath and get ready for bed. I then proceeded to sit on his bed and chat with him about it. He then told me he did it because his legs were not working! What? I said. I then told him, obviously your legs were working to take it and drop it on the floor and then go into the bathroom to clean it up. I have grounded him from playing with his friends today, which he took pretty well. He knew he was in trouble and i was very mad. I also had another problem one week ago where he got really quiet in his room. When i went to check on him he had toys covered all over his floor, when i went to clean it up he said no mom leave my books there. He had layed books out in a little pattern on the floor and when i removed them i found red marker colored on my tan carpet. This wasn't a little "oops" i colored off my book and hit the carpet, this was a large circle with an X in the middle of it and more drawings around it. I then yelled at him for doing this because he knows better. He just looked at me and could not give me an answer why. Thankfully i was able to get most of the marker off. I am having a hard time with stuff like this. I guess more is to come especially with Reece being so curious about everything, more so than Preston is! All I know is that "I NEED A VACATION"!

Learning to ride a bike

Last Sunday Preston was begging Sean to take off his training wheels to his bike. Sean finally gave in and taught him how to ride with them off. Preston actually caught on pretty fast and was loving every minute of it uncluding falling down. As you can see Reece was also playing on the big wheel and does not like to sit, instead he stands on it just like everything else. Reece has also learned how to climb on our bar stools and hop onto the counter to get into whatever he can find. I now have to keep my counter's clean every second of the day!

My neighbor girl came to me last week asking if i could help her make a TuTu. First off, I have never made one before but ended up getting this done in about 30 minutes. I think it turned out really cute and it was fun to make. Too bad we do not have any girls in the family to make one for. Come on Cha, I think it is your turn! I guess i could always make some and put them on my boys, would that be so bad!?!

Latest Quilts!

Here is the latest on the last two quilts i have done. I finally put the binding on the large red quilt i was working on and displayed it in our entry way. I love the way it turned out. I also made another Halloween quilt and i am not sure where i can put it. I already have a fall quilt and a halloween Witch quilt waiting to be displayed someplace else. I am also working on three other quilts that i am giving away for Christmas along with some other sewing/ crafty stuff. I have been really busy but need to get it donw now and not wait until the last minute!

Pudding, Banana's & Yummy Apples!

This same night we also decided to make caramel apples. After dipping them in the caramel we dipped them in chocolate and then in a butterfinger bar. The boys loved it! I used a granny smith apple to give it a sour but sweet taste. I am sure we will be making more of these in the future!

Fireman Field Trip

Preston's preschool went on a field trip to the fire dept. yesterday. He was so excited to go and see what they do, due to us watching a car catch fire the week before in a parking lot. He was a little hesitant on getting near fireman Olsen (as seen in the picture). Why? I am not sure because he wouldn't tell me. When all of the kids got to try on the suit Preston screamed and cried. When asked if he wanted to go for a ride in the fire truck he jumped for joy and was the first one to get to the truck! Reece and I got to ride in the front seat and loved every minute of it. preston had a huge grin on his face the whole time and loved it when the fireman pushed all of the buttons to make the different sirens go off. One of the fireman that worked there also has a little boy in Preston's class. Preston then turned to me and said "Mom, i want my dad to be a fireman" and then proceeded to cry!?! I am not sure what his problem was that morning. All in all, Preston finally gave in and tried the outfit on after the truck ride, and i must add that i think he looks pretty cute in it. Maybe in the future we will have a fireman in the family!

Birthday Bowling

Sean and I took Preston bowling on his Birthday. He has been begging me to take him for a long time and we finally decided to. He had such a blast and as you can see he killed Sean and I. A couple on a blind date sat next to us and loved to watch Preston bowl. When Preston would score they wouold cheer for him! Preston would get really excited and would scream and clap every time one of us threw the ball down the lane. We need to do this more often now that he is a little bigger. Reece on the other hand would like to run around the place.

Happy Birthday D.J.! Today he is turning 23 years old. We decided to have D.J. stay the night so that we could hang out and go to lunch the next day. This was supposed to happen last night but mom got the days mixed up and brought him a day early. I took him and the boys to Brick Oven (D.J.s choice) because he felt like having Pizza. We had a fun time. Preston and Reece love playing and wrestling with him whenever they get the chance. We love you Uncle Deej and hope you have a great Birthday!

We also took the kids to see the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point over Labor Day weekend. Preston did not like it when i held him up to one of the dinosaur's mouth, he started screaming. Reece thought it was all fun because he could run everywhere! They have a room with an island that is filled with water and sand the kids can play in. It was hard to walk through due to all of the kids crammed in there. It sure is not fun trying to get your child out of there kicking and screaming!!!

I finally have my computer back up and running. Here are a few photos of what we have been up to the past few weeks. While driving i looked back to check on the kids and happened to find Batman in Preston's carseat. He loves to dress up and act like super heros! Preston started Pre-school and is still not sure if he likes it or not. Apparently the third day there he got into a fist fight with a larger and older kid in his class. I can only imagine where that is going! We took the kids to the Kennecot Copper Mine over Labor Day weekend and the kids loved it. Reece kept trying to climb over the railing to play with the "LARGE" dump trucks. From up above they look really small but in fact they are huge. As you can see by the size of the tire the boys are standing next to.

I decided to have the boys photos taken last month by Hayley Anderson who lived across the street from where i grew up. In these three photos you will see something that you may think is gross but funny! The boys were getting a little restless so Hayley pulled out some nerds candy from her purse. Reece was shoving them into his mouth as fast as he could and one of them got stuck in one of his nostrils. Preston quickly discovered it sitting there and as you can see proceeded to take it from the nostril, look it over and decide to eat it. We were laughing so hard as Hayley kept taking their pictures. I love the look on both boys faces: Reece- What are you doing? and Preston- Hey I just scored another nerd!!!

I have finally decided to put Reece's bottles away! We are going on day three and he has not asked for one yet. He has been going down to bed for naps and bedtime without one and hasn't thrown a fit. Reece has his 15 month checkup next month and i was dreading the talk about getting rid of the binkie and bottle. When Preston was only 12 months old his pediatrician gave me a huge lecture about taking them away from him, stating that he was too old for them. Come to find out she isn't married nore does she have children, It's easy for her to tell me what to do with a little one! She needs to have one of her own to see what it is like taking away something that conforts a child/ baby. Cross your fingers for me that this goes well. I am now just worried about taking the binkie from him. He LOVES that thing! Plus it keeps most everything else out of his mouth!

Learning to feed himself

Reece has been wanting to feed himself with a fork and spoon this past week. I have been holding back to knowing that he would make a huge mess with whatever i put in front of him. So this morning i gave him some yogurt to see what would happen. He loved it! He had it everywhere including, on the back of his head, inside his ear and of course he eventually dumped it all over the counter. When i took it away to clean up the mess he threw a huge tantrum. Preston was never this messy with food, he hated his hands getting dirty!

Outdoor Fun

Sean and I decided to take the family for a little ride up left hand in HobbleCreek Canyon yesterday. Dave and Chelsey had just gotten into town the day before and thought it would be fun to go on a little adventure. We went up to Daniel's Summit and had lunch and then back to where the truck was parked. Unfortunately when we got to the end of the trail we came across these two large trees laying over the dirt road. We were able to go around the first tree but the second one was going to be a problem. A few men on the other side of the tree had a small saw which we used to break a few branches off and then Sean pulled some larger ones to see if we could fit underneath the tree. We barely made it! The sad part about the tree falling is that we passed a few cars going up the trail that would not be able to come back down because of the trees laying in their path. I sure hope they got out ok. I am not sure they would be able to make it on the trail that took us up to Daniel's Summit!

Beer???

Chelsey and Dave arrived into town this afternoon and we decided to get us some good old Mexican food at our favorite restaurant La Casita. Apparently D.J. had been telling my mom that he was going to get himself some beer when he got there. Our friend Luis that owns the restaurant said he had an O'douls (is that how you spell it?) in the back that he could have. It does not have any alcohol in it but has the same flavor as beer. When he brought it out, D.J. would not drink it. He was actually getting mad at us when we were harassing him to do it. I don;t think he will be asking for another beer any time soon!

Attacked by Wasps

I decided to let the kids play out in the backyard this morning due to the weather being overcast and not too hot. Reece ended up getting attacked by wasps and stung on the cheek and ankle. He couldn't move, he crouched down and screamed his guts out! I didn't realize they had gotten his ankle until about 10 minutes after giving him some benadryl.

Quilt Finally Finished

I just barely finished this new quilt i have been working on for the past month and a half. I knew if i didn't work on it a little at a time each day that it would never get done. It took me a long time just to cut the pieces out. Now i need to take it to my friend to get quilted. This quilt will actually fit a queen size bed. I think i will hang it over my quilt shelf in my entry when it is all done! I cannot wait!!!

Another Salmonella Update

I spoke with the Health Department yesterday and they were asking me a million questions on what preston had ate, touched, been three days prior to showing symptons of Salmonella. I tried my best to remember all of it but that was too far to remember everything, especially the food part. The health department did come down to one conclusion: He got it from touching a duck! Yes, a duck! I don't think i will ever let my kids touch ducks ever again. A few days prior to getting sick we went up to Gardner's Village and they have a large duck pond in the middle of the stores located outside. Preston and Keslee decided to feed them while we were shopping. My mom went to check on them and whitnessed one of the duck's bite Preston on the hand. We are guessing that he then touched his mouth. According to the Health Dept. birds and ducks carry the Salmonella virus but do not show side effects like humans do. She said you can pick this up from them by just touching the grass that they have pooped on and then touch your nose or mouth afterwards. I would have never guessed he would have picked it up this way. Apparently you can get it from any animal (cats, horses, etc.) but they do not carry it like birds and ducks do. You may want to rethink letting your kids feed the ducks!

Grandpa Hall

I just received a phone call from my dad a few minutes ago telling me that my mom's dad Grandpa Hall just passed away. The time is currently 2:00 AM and i am out in California visiting Chelsey this week. I feel really bad that i am not at home in Utah to comfort my mom in her time of need. He was a great man, but i know he is in a better place right now with my Grandma to greet him with open arms in heaven! What a wonderful day this must be for the two of them to be together again!!! We love and will miss him tonz. I think Preston may have a hard time with him being gone, every time we go over to my parents house he wants to go and visit Grandpa Hall! I am not sure that he will understand that Grandpa is not there anymore. How does a three year old really understand? Just to add a funny note to this time of sadness: Preston woke up just as my dad called me to go and use the bathroom, he never came back into the bedroom so i went out looking for him and found him outside the bathroom in the hallway on the floor asleep. I guess he was too tired to find his way back into bed! Anyways, "Mom, you are in my thoughts and i love you, Grandpa is in a better place where he belongs with Grandma." We will be home soon! We went on a jeep ride yesterday afternoon up American Fork Canyon. It was the first time that Reece has been on a long ride and it was not the best trail for little kids. It was really bumpy. Preston kept complaining that he wanted to go back home. It was nice to get out of the heat and go someplace cooler and it was a beautiful view of the mountains and waterfalls. I do not recommend anybody going on this trail unless they have a jeep to go in. The roads were not wide enough for two vehicles to pass by on most of the trail. Kindof scary at times. On our way down we saw a bunch of Search and Rescue people on the lower part of the trail who had to rescue someone who took their 4 wheeler off of a steep drop off. Apparently they have had a few deaths in the past year from people rolling their vehicles off of the trail.

This picture was taken near a small pond on Tibble Fork trail. The boys had fun throwing rocks into it while the adults didn't like getting eaten by all of the little bugs. We found some cool looking salamander's swimming around. They kindof looked like little aliens!

I am not sure if you can see it in this picture but there is a waterfall running down the mountain side. It was a beautiful ride.

This is the end of the trail which took us to the backside of Mineral Basin (Snowbird ski resort). It is a looooonnnnngggg ways up there.

Preston fell asleep while on the jeep ride. I am not sure how he can stay asleep due to it being so bumpy.

To those of you who get motion sickness, I do not recommend watching this video. It is just a sample of how bumpy this trail is and the section we were driving down was nowhere as bad as some other parts. I think we all had a headache when we were finished!

4th of July!

We spent the fourth of July hanging out at my parents house. Preston was still feeling a little ill that day but became a little happier when he saw my second cousin Josh. I think Josh has become his best buddy! Josh will play with him for hours and hours. I think i have found my new babysitter! Thanks Josh!!!

UPDATE.....

So, the doctor called me this afternoon and the tone of his voice was not good! He immediately told me to get Preston to his offica ASAP. They first needed to draw blood and most likely admit him to the hospital. He then preceeded to tell me it was not Salmonella Poisoning it was E. Coli. I was unaware of what exactly E. Coli was. Apparently the doctor had me on one phone while he was on another ready to make a phone call to have life flight ready for us when we got there. Somehow the lab told him it was E. Coli and when he asked them to send the final paper results over the fax it concluded it was not E. Coli but was Salmonella Poisoning. Can i even begin to tell you what a relief that was for me to hear? The doctor said most child cases end up in death with E. Coli. I had basically balled my eyes out on the way to the hospital thinking the worst. Sean was out in Vernal in a work meeting and i was unable to reach him. I finally did after 20 minutes or so. He kept calm and said everything would be ok. My parents met me over at the doctors office to hear the news and a friend of my dad's came along to help give Preston a blessing. Ever since the blessing Preston has not had a stomach ache. Lets hope it stays that way. In the meantime if he tends to get worse then we will admit him for dehydration and pain medication. They said that salmonella has to fight itself off, there are no antibiotics available for this kind of thing. It just sucks to think your child goes through this much pain for this amount of time and no help available. Most salmonella cases last 5-7 days but can go up to two weeks. I cannot go another day with him this sick.

Salmonella Poisoning

Here is an update on what the doctors think is wrong with Preston. Preston has been sick for 6 days now and the doctors had not been able to determine what it could be. We have done a bunch of tests, x-rays and an ultrasound as of late last night. His physician had checked him out on Monday and determined it could be a number of things. They called me this morning and said the last test points to Salmonella Poisoning. We definatelly do know it is not from tomatoes beings that Preston hates them. The last things he ate before becoming ill was a steak at Sizzler and a can of Campbell's chicken noodle soup. I do not wish this sickness upon anybody especially someone's child! It has been so hard watching him get so sick. He has not ate in over four days and is loosing weight. He screams most of the day about his lower stomach hurting him. We are now just waiting for the final results to come back which we should get later on today. The doctor said treatment for this it to admit him into the hospital and give him the care that he needs. I will keep you all updated on the status of his condition!

New car!

So yesterday night while i was making dinner Sean ran into the house, threw some keys onto the counter and said he would be back in about 15-20 minutes. Preston ran to watch him leave and came running back to me saying "Mom, your dad bought you a new car!" I said what? My dad bought me a new car? "I wish my dad did buy me a new car!" Instead Sean came home with a new car. Our lease was going to be up in the next month on our Tahoe and we were looking at something similar to what we had, not this Escalade! Sean said he loved it and came home with it. It is soooooooo NICE! It has a total of three TV's in it, the steering wheel heats up to warm your hands when they are cold and the seats actually blow out cold air to cool your hiney on hot days like we have been having! When i tried it out for the first time i thought i had wet my pants and could not remember doing so. I am now just waiting for the butler to come out with dinner in hand! Who knows what they will come up with next. Thanks for the new car honey, I love you tonz!

Rough Day!

While making my bed this morning i went to put the rest of my pillows on the
bed and found Reece lounging on them. This picture was taken just minutes
before the picture below!

This photo was taken just a few minutes after his hands slipped off of the edge
of the bath tub and hitting his cheek/eye on it! He screamed his guts out for a little while.
I am pretty sure that he will have a black eye to go along with all of the other scratches
he currently has. He has received most of them from learning how to walk!
